In this article, we will discuss Facebook charging money from my card.
Facebook ads can be silly complicated without the surplus need to operate the billing on top of everything else. And still, it is not abnormal for billing problems to crop up. One such error is aortic charges that you may not have authorized, through Facebook never takes the money they are not owed.
In case, you feel like you have automatic billing or aortic payments you don’t want or you don’t have need. So no need to panic, you can fox this problem, but first, you have to know the cause.
Process of work of billing:-
Facebook has two types of billing account, one is Automatic and the second one is Manual. Automatic means how many subscriptions and pay-on-use service work. Manual means using prepaid cards to load up your account and spend it from the pool.
By the process of Automatic payment, you have a billing threshold. Necessarily, you add a valid payment method, generally a credit card to your account. So, when you run any ads, the cost of those ads adds up. When the full cost reaches your billing threshold then you are charged for the cost of those ads.
One more thing, you are also charged at the end of every month, if you don’t reach your billing threshold.
The billing threshold is decided by some factors. Firstly, it is laid down by your currency, payment method and your location. It means Facebook sets a lower threshold for every country with fraud error or payment methods with payment issues. So they can be paid more frequently in lower volumes, reduce most of the fraud liability.
When you run ads and pay successfully, then Facebook assigns you a higher level of trust to your Facebook account, and also increase your billing threshold. It gives permission you to run ads for longer before you need to pay them.
Basically, automatic billing is used when you use a credit card or use PayPal to pay for your ads. It can charge directly when they are saved on file.
By the process of Manual payments, you have to add money. Then you pay for ads run. One more thing, you should have a minimum amount in your account to run ads. If you are lack money so your ads stop top run.
The benefit of using manual payment is that you can never be charged more what you are billing to spend.
Limit of Manual billing:-
Facebook never want to deal with having a lot of diffused cash setting in accounts all over the world. That means you can only use manual payment in a specific country or in a specific method. Some example of manual billing is Net banking from India, Alipay from china, BCP from Peru, Dot pay from Poland, Qiwi from Russia. And you can also find the list of payment methods and the countries they work for this.
Here are two major limitations:
- If you are paying via a currency supported. But if you are in Russia and use Qiwi or pay using the US dollar, then manual payment doesn’t give permission to pay.
- You can only use the manual payment if you are in the listed country. Australia, Britain, Residents of the United State, and most of the Europe.
